 |
The very first release of the Estate. The grapes were hand-selected
for this wine from the Betsek and Padihegy blocks.
Winemaking
Only intact and completely ripe bunches were processed. The processing
was followed by a 24-hour cold-soak on the skins to transfer an
above-average concentration into the fermentation. 75% of the wine was
fermented in steel casks and the other 25% in oak on fine lees(Sur
Lie). The fermentation and aging was done in 2 year-old Hungarian oak.
After 6 month ageing the wine was bottled in June, 2009.
Tasting notes
It has floral, honey and well-balnced fruity aromas with peach and a
hint of tangerine. On the palate it is medium-bodied with
well-balanced acidity and a lovely mineral character. It finishes long
and with a refreshing gooseberry note.
