Welcome to the Home Page of Kardos Vineyard

The history of our family in Mád can be traced back through more than the past 2 centuries. The grapes and wine have always provided living for countless of generations in Mád.
The foundations of our modern-sense family winery were laid down by my father, Gábor Kardos Sr. in 1989. The vast majority of our wines had been sold in the tavern owned by our family in Mád.
From the mid-2000s I have been provided with more and more control over our small family winery. By applying stricter crop regulation and by conducting multiple bunch sorting and multiple selective harvests we are intending to make the best use out of the land of exquisite quality. Our primary aim is to produce dry white wines of great character and late harvest dessert wines. Aszú wine is produced only in case of excellent vintage but solely in limited volume.
As a result of our joint efforts the Kardos & Son Vineyard Ltd. was founded in 2008 so that we can acquaint the ever-growing numbers of terroir wine lovers with our wines. Our first marketed bottles have met high praise from various wine experts, a fact which enabled us to continue our journey with cheerful ease.
